| Why hello there... My story may not be special to some but its a story of my biggest defining moment thus far in my life. It all started when I joined the army national guard as a 17 year old, when they said "we'll pay for college" that's when I said "sign me up!!" Ha ha. So far so good, right?
A few months later I was shipped off to basic training to be all I can be. Well as the days went by the drill sergeants liked to yell more and more and they got comfortable with making us do more "corrective training". No need to fear because I had our Lord God on my side, Philippines 4:13 was the verse that kept me "hanging on faith". Any time I was feeling pretty low or stressed I just remembered that "I can do all things through Christ who strengths me" (Phil 4:13). When that was going through my head those days just got shorter and shorter all the way up until graduation 9 weeks later. Now looking back on my experiences of basic training I realize that it was easy with God on my side... As are all things |
